As for "fake weather reports"? Do they help Adaptation to Global Warming

According to The Guardian, April, 30th, Egypt is in process to crack down on "fake weather reports". As a matter of fact, weather reports vary between a note about the temperature in some place at some moment, and highly detailed  information about precipitation, gusts and average wind speed and direction, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, and other related things as well, as, for instance, anomalies.      

Weather reports, not forgetting the forecasts and climate previsions and predictions, are demanded by those who answered the research on the thought of agricultural researchers about measures to neutralize the negative effects of the Global Warming carried in the Brazilian equatorial region (taken as from latitude 15 N to 15 S). The agriculture needs previsions for the next month, to orientate the cultural traits; needs predictions for the next months, to direct choices of short term cultures, needs predictions for the years ahead, to elect the perennial cultures. The logistic industry needs reliable predictions for planning the next week, the next month, for the nature and amount of investment to adapt to anomalies and extreme events, a need also felt by the insurance industry. They need predictions in a resolution of a square mile, not in resolution of a thousand square miles as the present climate predictions which are delivered by the official meteorological offices anywhere.

And now, what to say?

The producers need reports that the governments presently do no give them. They need reports, with nature of previsions, in a resolution higher than those already disposable. But the society and the producers, need accurate previsions, as accurate as can be done by the use of the best data and the state of the art knowledge. They find harmful any innacurate report, be it from people trying to use it as a political tool against a government, be it from a government to attain public support.

What is better for those who need weather reports? Government monopoly or freedom to elaborate weather reports?

Free and responsible debate is necessary to point a solution. And the solution may vary with geography and time. The free debate, inspired in the ancient Greek "ágora" is, by itself, a tool for the creation and control of solutions for Adaption to the Global Warming. It should be encouraged everywhere.
